How 901 Holdings came to be
Landon and Anders met as teammates on the Columbia football team, shared a dorm room, and went on to captain the team together. They have been close friends ever since, and spent most of the decade that followed working side by side at the same consulting firm — including four years together on the same industrial client — advising manufacturing, distribution and healthcare businesses across the country.
Along the way, they came to the same conclusion: rather than spend their careers advising other businesses, they wanted to build their lives around one of their own.
That is the idea behind 901 Holdings — named for their shared dorm room. They are not raising a traditional fund or assembling a portfolio. They are looking for one enduring business to run themselves and own for the long term.
Their search has also given them an appreciation for what a sale means to an owner. They have evaluated businesses, worked through lender underwriting and experienced firsthand how much time, trust and effort goes into getting a transaction done.
If you are considering what comes next for your business, they would welcome a conversation — even if you are still early in the process.
